Answer. EMRA is an alliance of companies
from the food service sector operating in the European Union.
Q. Why was it formed?
Answer. To enhance the dialogue with policy
makers and opinion leaders at a European level on matters affecting the
modern restaurant industry.
Q What does it do?
Answer. By discussion with EU MEPs and Commission
Officials it increases awareness of the EU's modern restaurant industry
as an engine for economic growth and job creation, participates in discussions
on relevant policy issues and liaises with other business and interest
groups on matters of joint interest.
Q. Who are its Members?
Answer. EMRA comprises 8 member companies;
Autogrill, Burger King, Goody's, McDonald's, Nordsee, Quick, Yum Brands
Inc. and Whitbread Group plc.
Q Where is it based?
Answer. EMRA does not have an office or staff. Contact details for the

Q. How is it financed?
Answer. The member companies share any costs
equally but because there are no overheads these are modest.
